Call of Duty: Warzone is a really awesome game when it comes to the Visual Quality, but not every game is built to have the best visuals and performance. Warzone Best Video Settings are really controversial topic.

Warzone as a mod is pretty heavy, the map is huge and you have 150 players on the same map which makes the game pretty hardware demanding. Due to the competitive aspect of the game in most cases you have to sacrifice some of the Graphics Settings in order to gain on FPS BOOST and overall smooth gameplay.

Best Call of Duty: Warzone Video Settings

In my opinion, The Lower is better, but not FPS. Video Settings. When it comes to competitive shooters that are full of fast movement and split-second reactions , i would sacrifice the video quality at any time in order to get high fps. Especially if you have high refresh rate monitor, you would always want minimum of 144FPS to match your 144hz (or more) monitor.

Keep in mind, that you need at least recommended hardware in order to get the maximum performance of the game even with the best video settings.

Many people with high end systems have the ability to play on higher or MAX settings without losing a single frame, but for other with lower-end hardware is a never-ending battle of best visual and high FPS, you sacrifice some visuals in order to gain performance which is totally normal. This guide is all about that, even with high-end system i prefer to play with lower settings in order to gain stable frame thru the game.

Optimize Discord Settings

Discord is an awesome voice communication software, but its a pretty heavy one with a lot of option that you don’t need that are stressing the CPU and GPU. And as we all know, we don’t need extra load on our CPU while we are in-game.

Disable In-Game Overlay

First of all go too settings, than in the left menu go to APP SETTINGS and Overlay. When you get there, you will see an option to disable the the Ingame Overlay.

Enable Reduced Motion and Disable Developer Mode

While in the settings menu, go down to Appearance Tab and make sure to enable Reduced Motion and Disable Hardware Acceleration.
As you can see in the hint text, Hardware Acceleration is using the GPU to make Discord work smoother but it’s using the GPU to do so.

Leave the Servers that you don’t need

You might didn’t know about this one, but more servers you got on discord, discord is getting heavier and is sending and processing a lot of request for each and every server. To reduce this, leave all the servers that you are not really active at make sure to clean your DM history which is also sending and processing requests over time. Also, avoid high traffic Discord Serers, for example, the official Call of Duty Discord Server!

Call of Duty: Warzone Windows 10 Optimization

Windows 10 sometimes is making a clutter of processes that are using resources that are for background processes that you need in order to get better fps in Call of Duty: Warzone. Here are few optimization tricks that you might find helpful and that helped me a lot to increase my fps in Call of Duty: Warzone.

Clear Standby processes and free more ram.

For this, you will need a program called Intelligent Standby List Cleaner (ISLC) and you can download it on their official website. Or just click here.

After downloading the Installer, extract it do desktop and run the program as administrator. Once the program is running make sure to check the following settings.

Intelligent Standby List Cleaner (ISLC)

After setting everything up, press the “Start” button, and after that press “Purge Standby list”. After completing all of this, minimize the tool and launch the game.

Keep your Graphic Drivers Updated

One of the most important things is to have your drivers up to date. In most cases, when you start Warzone the game will remind you to update them, and you should do it! But, if the driver update check fails, here is how to do it.

NVIDIA GeForce Experience

For nVidia GPU users the fastest way to use NVIDIA GeForce Experience which can be downloaded from their official website.

NVIDIA GeForce Experience

After downloading and installing the Tool you should log in and check for driver update and install them. Personally I prefer to do a clean install. In the process, there will be a box that you can mark.

GeForce Game Ready Driver Clean installation

After a few minutes, your installation will be complete and you can start Playing Warzone.

Radeon™ Software Adrenalin 2020 Edition

For AMD users i recommend using their official driver installation which is called Adrenalin and recently got a huge update compared to their previous versions. You can download it from their official website @ https://www.amd.com/en/technologies/radeon-software

Disable Windows Game Mode

Game Mode is a built-in Windows 10 Game Optimization tool that is proven to HURT your FPS instead of helping you improve it. Disabling this one is pretty easy. Go yo Start and type “Game Mode Settings”, after that click the first result.

Windows 10 Game Mode Settings

Once you are prompted to the next Window, you should go through all the TABS and disable everything including the Game Bar. This should hopefully increase your FPS or at least stabilize it. Feel free to experiment with this one but as I stated before, for most of the users this is just additional trouble maker when it comes to the performance.

Final Thoughts

Call of Duty: Warzone is a pretty optimized and stable game, it can run on a few years old System but that doesn’t mean you will always get the best performance. I hope that this guide will help you to improve the performance of the game and get your smooth FPS for the Best Gaming Experience.

This guide is pretty simple and basic, but as the game progresses in the development we will keep it updated as much as possible!
